The Wominvest Observatory is partnering with EUTOP50, Forum Knowledge4Innovation and Collabwith to organize the prestigious EUTOP50 Awards dedicated to Women Entrepreneurs, Women Investors and Women led VCs.

We want to recognize efforts and contributions to equal investment opportunities for women led innovative business and women led VCs. Also, we want to recognize the efforts to reduce the women investment equality gap, and change the status-quo as a woman investor and as a Venture Capital, and create a different decision making process. At the same time, we want to recognize woman entrepreneurs in the innovation arena who are driving change with their technologies and innovative solutions in the area of sustainability, deep tech and digitization.  

We are happy to announce that Ms Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, confirmed her participation for the Award Ceremony on 9th December, 16:30h.

We are curating and selecting women entrepreneurs, women investors and women VCs. besides our efforts to find the brilliant and innovative women in our society. We want to hear from you if you are a woman who is innovative, driving change and making a business happen. Maybe you are looking for funding, maybe not. If you are a woman from any kind of background, education, country, gender, university, but you are passionate about your innovative business and you are living in an EU-country. You can participate!

Selection Criteria

// Your business is related to sustainability, digitalization or deep tech (including patents here).

// You are a EU citizen.

// Your business is an innovative business, and you are driving change in your industry and bring value with your services or products.

// You are a woman and you are leading an innovative business.

// A high innovative potential startup not older than 10 (five) years of age founded in the country from where they are participating.

// In order to participate in the award competition, the participant has to finalize their application and send all the required media before 30th November 2020 at 12noon CET.

// We’ll go through the list and get each participant to confirm their application in the awards and to be selected for shortlisting.

Shortlisting & Finalist announcement

Together with our jury members, we work to determine the top 3 nominations in each category and it would be announce on Friday 4th December 2020 prior the 12th Innovation Summit and EUTOP50 Award Ceremony.

Once selected, the top 3 shortlisted nominations in each category will be announced as finalists, who will run to compete.

Selected top 3 finalist per category will be present in the Award Ceremony Session with Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, MEP Lina Galvez, MEP Susana Solis, MEP Maria Graça Carvalho and MEP Karen Melchior.

Jury Members

The jury members will rank each finalist according to the information presented to them. This information is obtained directly from the participant. Jury members will determine who wins in a specific award.

A jury member is an active and connected person within their respective national or international startup ecosystem. A jury member is one that is active in the community directly.

Carol Tarr
Carol Tarr

Carol was born on the Southside of Chicago, Illinois, USA. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where she majored in East Asian Studies and Religious Studies. She has a master’s degree in theological studies (MTS) from Harvard University, where she specialized in World Religions and was a researcher for the Pluralism Project. She is currently a.b.d. (all but dissertation) from a PhD program at the University of Chicago. She’s President of the Harvard Alumni Club of the The Netherlands.

Jara Pascual

Co-founder TWOO and CEO Collabwith.
Jara Pascual is an author and entrepreneur centered on Innovation. She is CEO and founder of Knowco Collabwith, an online platform bringing people together and encouraging collaborations online and offline. As Board Member of the Forum Knowledge4Innovation her voice is heard regularly at the European Parliament. She is also the host of the Innovation Podcast “Business of Collaboration” and Book author of “Innovation & Collaboration in the Digital Era” from publisher @DeGruyter (coming in fall of 2020). Jara is a Telecom Engineer with an MBA and she is writing about innovation management for different online magazines. She has worked for 15 years in Innovation Management doing transformational innovation culture and projects in a number of Fortune 500 Companies and R&D Labs.

Robbert Fisher
Robbert Fisher

Robbert is specialized in EU strategy and policy. For more than 30 years Robbert has been involved in EU policy, as a seconded expert, as an analyst and as an external programme, project and policy evaluator and reviewer. He is currently associated investigator at the University de las Campinas in Sao Paolo where he is working on AI and Big Data for policy, president of Knowledge4Innovation and expert contributor to Innovators magazine. Robbert managed over 60 contracts for the EC, and was responsible for several studies such as the analysis of Mission Oriented Policies, the re-industrialisation of the Solar PV industry in the EU, analysis of the IoT field in the EU, and a study defining the approach towards a single and innovation European Transport system.

Tamara Obradov

Partner VC Tablomonto and Co-initiation #fundrigth mission in the Netherlands
 Tamara Obradov is a partner and fund manager of Tablomonto Ventures. Tablomonto is a venture capital firm investing in category-creating, tech-advantaged businesses such as Bloomon, Lepaya and Klikkie.
In the last year, Tamara was one of the founding partners of the #Fundright initiative. #Fundright is a VC industry initiative which aims to equalize the gender funding gap for startup founders. The goal is to create equal funding opportunities for founders regardless of their gender of background.
She is a Harvard Business School and Rotterdam School of Management alumna. She lives in Amsterdam with her partner and 3 kids. In her free time she enjoys sculpting, cake baking and sports.
